N.J. Assembly Passes Pension Funding Amendment

On Monday, June 27, the New Jersey Assembly voted in favor of legislation that would place a question on the November 8 election ballot requiring the state make quarterly payments into the state’s public worker pension system. The resolution (ACR-109) passed 50-25 with 2 abstentions.

The resolution will now go before a vote of the full Senate which is scheduled to be heard on Thursday, June 30. Both the State Senate and State Assembly must approve before it is formally placed on the November ballot.
